Styling Black for Summer

Black Maxi 22

Hola Chicas,

Hope you all had a great week. So black is one of my fav colors and the main reason is cause it makes me look thin. lol. I was so happy I found this maxi. I love how open and airy it is and looks perfect for summer. Before I talk about this look, I had even styled a black jumpsuit for visiting theΒ  Tabacon hot springs in Costa Rica. You can see the look here.

I wore this maxi on my trip to Seville, Spain and it was perfect for the hot weather. All the pictures here are taken either in the Santa Cruz neighborhood or the Alcazar of Seville. You can read my full travel post here. Continue reading

Tips on Styling Overalls for Summer

Overalls 50

Hello Loves,

Hope you all had a great weekend. Today I wanted to post about a fun collab I did with Romwe. This is a very edgy look for me as I generally wear more of dresses and skirts. However, when I checked out Romwe’s website, I loved these overalls. They are super stylish and comfortable and fit really well. I have a hourglass figure and I was worried initially that these won’t fit me well, but they looked absolutely gorgeous. Continue reading

Styling Chic for Summer

Green Sundress 13

Hello My Lovelies,

Hope you’re all doing well and enjoyed reading my blog post on Seville last week. So I wanted to switch gears now and post something on fashion and how to dress casual chic for summer. So California is blazing hot in Summer as you all know and what works best (unless you are in San Fran downtown) is a simple sundress. I got this really cute green and white dress from H&M at a steal deal. I wanted to dress chic but comfy at the same time for my visit to Napa for wine tasting. All I did was added some wedges, a fun necklace and bag to it and I was ready to explore Napa. Continue reading

Shirt-dress or Sundress

Flowy Blue Gap Shirtdress 11

Hi Bellas,

Hope you all are having a great time. Today I wanted to post about this fun flowy shirt-dress from GAP that I wore on my trip to Canada. Having a hourglass figure, I generally prefer dresses which are more flowy than the body hugging ones and this dress does exactly that for me. It made me feel like I am walking in the kind of outfit Betty Draper would wear in Madmen and I absolutely loved all her dresses on the show. On a serious note, it felt super comfortable and summery. How to Style a Pleated Midi Skirt

White Midi Skirt and Pink Top 10Hello My Loves,

Summer is almost on its way and that means wearing a lot of bright colors, dresses and skirts. I live in my boots and jeans all winter, so spring and summer are a refreshing change for me. Today I wanted to post about this cute midi skirt I found while shopping at Nordstorm and how I styled it. Checkout my previous posts on midi skirts here and here. This time I’ve styled a pleated midi skirt with a simple pink top and gold accessories. I’ve added some blue to the equation as well for fun. Enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think of this look in the comments section πŸ™‚ Continue reading

Floral Light Pink Dress

Floral Light Pink Dress 5

Bonjour Pretty Ladies,

Today I wanted to write a blog-post on this pretty light pink dress that I wore on my trip to Canada. I loved the views from this beautiful castle (La Citadelle De Quebec) in the heart of Quebec City. They have some gorgeous views of the city from here. It was a hot day in Quebec when we visited. The huge white floppy hat protected me from the sun while looking really elegant and sophisticated with this outfit. Made me feel very “Kate Middleton” minus the awesome hair and the sapphire ring πŸ˜‰

Gingham Midi Dress by eShakti

Gingham Midi Dress 13

Hello Bella’s,

I am super excited about my first collaboration with eShakti. It’s a great website with some pretty amazing outfits. The way it works is you choose a dress from their website and then you get to customize it (length, sleeves etc) and then they ship it to you. I chose this pretty gingham midi dress and customized the back, neck and the sleeves. Gingham was in fashion in the 1950’s and is now making a comeback. I have an odd hourglass figure as a result of which I am very cautious about shopping online. However, this dress fit beautifully and it gives you a very slimming look overall. I loved the addition of the belt to accentuate the waist.

Chevron Print Maxi

Hello Beautiful People,

Hows end of summer treating you? California luckily is still nice and warm though it’s cooling down a bit now. Today I am posting about this maxi I wore on the weekend while exploring Monterey Bay and Carmel-By-The-Sea. Both are really pretty and beautiful towns. I would highly suggest you do the 17 mile drive as well while you are in that area. It has some gorgeous views. Most of these pictures I took were while driving around it. We went there on a day trip to explore Monterey and then got dinner at a nice tapas place in Carmel. Monterey has some awesome clam chowder, quite comparable to the one I used to get in New England, some beautiful beaches and a nice wharf. Carmel has some really cute and pretty boutiques if you are in the mood to shop for some trinkets and some amazing restaurants.
