Barcelona, Spain in 3 days

Barcelona 16

Hola Travelers,

How have you been? So this is my last post in my series of travel posts on Spain. You can read my last 3 posts on Madrid, Seville and Granada by clicking on the links in case you missed them. So my last stop on my trip was Barcelona and it was literally like saving the best for the last. Barcelona was a world of its own. A city overflowing with art and beautiful buildings and full of life and energy, it was really hard to say adios and fly back to San Francisco. There is so much to do here, I am at a loss where to start. This is the best I could do in 3 days to scratch the surface of this vibrant city. Continue reading

Granada, Spain in a Day

Granada 6
Hello Fellow Travelers,

Hope you enjoyed reading my last 2 posts on Madrid and Seville. If you are planning a trip to Spain I would say you read those posts first as they give you an introduction to Spain. Anyhow, after reluctantly leaving Seville to head to Granada, I finally made my way to this city. Granada was an interesting mixture of Moorish and Spanish architecture and needless to say the main reason for me to visit the city was the Alhambra. However, Granada did pleasantly surprise me. There was a lot more to the city than the Alhambra and it looked like a scene out of the Arabian nights. I took a taxi to get to our hotel and it costed about 30 €. Continue reading

Seville, Spain in a day

Seville in a day

Hola,

Hope you enjoyed reading my blog post on “Madrid in 2 days” last week. So from Madrid, I headed down south towards the very beautiful city of Seville (pronounced Seviya). Seville was everything Madrid wasn’t. It’s known as the “Frying Pan” of Spain and is located in the Andalusian region. I loved this place as it gave me the actual flavor of Spain that Madrid lacked. The weather was nice and warm (can get really hot in summer), the streets and buildings were beautiful, the sangria strong and the tapas hot. If you want to see a Flamenco show in Spain – I would highly suggest you do so in the South. One of the mistakes I made was not spending enough time in Seville. I would highly suggest you spend at-least 2 days here. But if you were on a time crunch like me, follow my itinerary below: Continue reading

Madrid, Spain in 2 Days

Madrid Header

Ola Amigos,

Madrid is Spain’s central capital. It’s a  cosmopolitan city full of plaza’s, museums, fun places to eat and a buzzing nightlife. I went to Spain couple of months back and Madrid was my first stop during the trip and it definitely dint disappoint. Since I just had 2 days, I was constantly on the move to cover all the attractions in the city under a time crunch. Feel free to spread this over 3 days if you have more time to visit the city. Hotel Europark, Barcelona

Europark 13

Hello Fellow Travelers,

Hope you’re all being fabulous and have some fun travel plans for Summer. I recently visited Spain and I had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Europark and collaborate with them. I really had a great time there and if you’re traveling to Barcelona I highly suggest you stay with them. The staff of Europark was really helpful. We were greeted very nicely the entire time, they helped us plan our visits to various parts of the city, explained routes to us on a map and even helped us understand train timings. Upon checkout (which was at a very un-even hour) we were given a packed breakfast to eat at the airport. Such a sweet gesture 🙂

10 Things to Know Before Planning a Trip to Costa Rica

IMG_1101
 Ola Amigos,

This last month I went to visit the beautiful country of Costa Rica. With it’s immense biodiversity, micro-climates, rain-forests and beaches this place is a mecca for the nature lovers. I myself am not much of a nature person, however, the beauty of Costa Rica left me awestruck. We went to 2 cities on our trip: Arenal and Manuel Antonio. We wanted to visit Monteverde as well. But due to shortage of time, we couldn’t make it. I will be writing another blog post with my detailed itinerary.

Adventures in Arenal with the Desafio Adventure Company

Desafio 13
Ola,

Today I wanted to post about an amazing day I had in Arenal – Costa Rica with the Desafio Adventure Company. Just to give you an introduction, Arenal is a cloud forest located in the north west region of Costa Rica. I had the privilege to enjoy a bunch of adventurous activities here with Desafio.

We joined Desafio for their Rappelling and Canyoning adventure. The activity started with a hotel pickup in the morning around 7 AM. We were picked up in a nice air conditioned bus from our hotels. The bus took us to a location from where we switched into another vehicle more suited to travel a couple of kilometers on a dirt road.

Tabacon Hot Springs, Costa Rica

Tabacon 35

Hello Fellow Travelers,

This past month I got the chance to visit the hot springs at the Tabacon Resort. Sitting in the middle of the lush cloud-forest, with a beautiful view of the Arenal volcano, this is one of the most pristine and beautiful places in Costa Rica. They have a number of different hot springs, each designed in a unique way with a different water temperature and mineral content. The ambiance is very natural with trees all around and volcanic rocks and sand at the bottom of the hot springs. The water is naturally heated from the volcano and flows all through the resort.

Quebec City

Quebec City 13
 Bonjour Everyone,

Hope fall is treating you well. Today I am writing a travel post on one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in Canada. I visited Quebec this summer and I had a wonderful time there. From street festivals to flash mobs, the whole city was so bubbling with fun and enthusiasm. I loved the beautiful cobbled streets and the buildings in Quebec and the best part of visiting Quebec City in summer were the street performers. There were so many artists, singers, dancers and performers who were visiting Quebec from as far as Australia and it was a delight watching them.
