Ways to Master Color Mixing
Hello My Loves,
How is it going? Though I am all set to enjoy fall and cooler weather, I am making the most of the last few days of summer. I love wearing bright colors in all seasons, especially summer. So in this post, let’s talk about how to match various colors so that your outfit looks well put together.
I wore this dress for a day out to Sonoma with some friends. Wine tasting, brunching and taking pictures and some of our favorite activities, so needless to say this was a fun day. In this post, I styled a cute and flowery yellow dress with a bright blue bag.
Styling Tip 1: One of the options while combining colors is to mix complimentary colors (colors on opposite side of the wheel) based on the color wheel i.e. yellows match well with blues, greens with pinks and so on. The other option is to keep all your colors within the same color family.
Since, I was combining 2 bright colors, I kept my accessories to the minimum with a simple gold chain and gold studs. For the shoes, I stuck to basic white wedges.
Styling Tip 2: When combining 2 opposite bright colors, keep the rest of your outfit neutral (blacks, white and beige). This makes the other colors stand and making your outfit look classy.
That’s all I have for today. Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy the last few days of summer and fall and I will post something pertaining to the fall weather soon.
Love,
Ankita
