Hello All you Wonderful People,
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and got to spend some time with family and friends. I had a fun Friendsgiving at my place and I also did some Black Friday shopping (guilty ;)). Alright, so today I wanted to post about my collab with this company called Verlocal.
To give you a little background on the company, Verlocal is a social platform built to bring people with similar interests and hobbies together. Verlocal currently has over 200,000 users across the country and generates 16,000+ page views daily. They have more than 48K+ likes on Facebook. So when they contacted me for a collab it was so tough to choose the right class. I’m a baker and I totally wanted to take the baking classes. But my husband wanted to take sports classes and since we wanted to do it together, we settled on a super fun “Composition in the Field of Photography class”.
We met with the famous photographer Jerry Downs in the morning at the De Young Museum in San Francisco. Jerry was fun and extremely informational. The class started with a basic overview of photography, what to capture in different scenarios, basics about Aperture, ISO etc. We also practiced a lot by walking all around the park and capturing silhouettes, motion, fountains, people and so much more. Me and my husband generally operate our camera in Auto mode and rarely use manual. Though we still need a lot of practice to improve the quality of our pictures, Jerry did a fantastic job in teaching us about the right settings etc. I am totally looking forward to taking more wonderful pictures in my upcoming trips.
So this Christmas, if you’re looking for a gift for someone, do think about gifting them a voucher for a Verlocal class. Here are some of my personal favorites:
- Photography: Composition in the Field Photography
- Baking: French Chocolate Desserts, French Macron Class
- Arts and Crafts: Pottery Class
- Sports: Dance Tango, Flashdance Friday
