Tips on Styling Prints
How have you been? Hope you’re all having a great week so far and loving the crisp fall air and the smell of pumpkin spice lattes :).ย I generally wear plain one colored dresses with a basic watch and heels. But on holidays I make a conscious effort not to bring my work wardrobe with me :). I wore this gorgeous printed dress from Loft on my trip to Prague and now i’m ready to style this for fall. So today my post is all about styling prints.
So this dress is a fun twist to the shirt-dress. It’s loose and the neckline is pretty high, but it has a nice belt on the waist to make it more body hugging and pretty. I am all for dresses like these as they’re super comfortable while traveling and look chic.
Style Tip 1: Keep your accessories dainty with printed dresses since you don’t want to overdo the look.
I did the same here where I wore my colorful bracelet (again from loft) and the blue drop earrings. That’s literally all I needed to complete the look. I wore basic gold sandals so that I could walk around the cobbled streets comfortably.
The fun hot pink bag I am carrying is from Fossil and they sent it to me as a gift. I love their brand and almost all the bags they sell. It has that young vibe to it and they are so comfortable to carry around. I could fit my daily essentials in this bag with ease.
Style Tip 2: Don’t worry about going off color when picking up your bag with the outfit. As you can see the primary colors in my dress are yellow, blue and white. But I decided to carry a pink bag with it and I love the effect it is creating.
Finally, I decided to try out a new hairstyle with this dress. Since it’s very feminine I wanted loose flowy hair with a fun side braid. Bobby pins are your friends when trying out any hairstyles. This looked chic and kept my hair out of my face, which was really good while touring on a hot day.
Style Tip 3: You can style a printed dress for the fall with a extra long knit sweater and knee high boots and they look absolutely gorgeous.
Hope you enjoyed reading my post and thank you for stopping by.
xoxo,
Ankita
